Patient Experiences at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust

Starting recruitment in 2015 and now having welcomed more than 10,000 participants, the Add‑Aspirin trial does not often get the chance to hear directly from those who make this research possible — the patients themselves. At University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust, the R&D PPI team spoke with two participants who generously shared their experiences, now featured on the Trust’s website.

These reflections, shared with us by the team, highlight the deeply positive impact that compassionate, attentive site staff have on every patient’s research journey. Their stories shine a light on the dedication and professionalism that shape the day‑to‑day work of site teams and demonstrate how meaningful patient-centred care can be within clinical trials.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all site teams for the invaluable work you do. Your commitment ensures that every participant feels supported and respected whilst contributing to research.

We want to thank Katherine and Bindy for sharing their experiences linked below.
