The following medications should not be taken at the same time as the Add Aspirin trial medication. If you are unsure whether you can take a medication please discuss with your doctor.
Any medications that contain aspirin, which include: Nu-seals, Anadin, Beechams powders, Alka-seltzer, Disprin, Codis 500
Anti-coagulation medication, which include: Warfarin, Acenocoumarol, Phenindione, Dabigatran, Unfractionated Heparin, Low molecular weight heparin*, Rivaroxaban, Apixaban, Argatroban
*In some situations low molecular weight heparin may be permitted when prescribed as to prevent blood clots- please discuss with your doctor.
Anti-platelet medication, which include: Clopidogrel, Dipyridamole, Prasugrel, Ticagrelor, Abciximab, Tirofiban, Eptifibatide, Epoprostenol, Fondaparinaux
Other medications: Methotrexate
The following medications should not be taken regularly or long-term, but are permitted for short-term use. If you plan to take any of the following medications please discuss with your doctor first:
Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAID) which include: Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Diclofenac , Acelofenac, Fenoprofen, Flurbiprofen, Ketoprofen, Dexketoprofen, Tiaprofenic acid, Etodolac, Indomethacin, Meloxicam, Tenoxicam, Nabumetone, Phenylbutazone, Ketorolac, Piroxican, Sulindac, Tolfenamic acid, Celecoxib, Etoricoxib
Corticosteroids, which include: Dexamethasone, Prednisolone, Hydrocortisone
